Since 1959, the PSATS Trustees Insurance and Retirement Services have been offering a full range of quality insurance coverage to its 1,455 member townships. More than 5,000 township officials, employees and family members are covered under our health, dental, disability and life insurance plans, as well as a defined benefit pension plan and a 457(b) retirement savings plan.
The PSATS Trustees Insurance and Retirement Services is governed by a Board of Trustees, made up of Association members, and administered by experienced insurance professionals whose sole focus is the needs of our Association members. Our insurance staff has more than 100 years of combined service to Pennsylvania’s townships and their employees and families. Townships have come to know and expect the highest level of customer service from the Association and the Trustees Insurance and Retirement Services.
In addition, PSATS has formed a partnership with Municipal Risk Management, Inc. of Pittsburgh to provide liability and property insurance and workers’ compensation for our member townships. MRM , who has been in business for more than 20 years, is governed by a board made up of elected municipal officials and authority managers. They understand the needs of those they serve.
